At the limit, the G8X M cars can suffer from understeer, which can result in a vague steering feel and a lack of confidence in the front end. This is due in part to insufficient front axle camber, which is not adjustable from the factory on the BMW G8X M platform. This leaves drivers limited to BMW's factory camber setting, which may not be enough for track use or spirited road driving.
Forged from motorsport data and development experience, Suspension Secrets G80/G82 M3/M4 Adjustable Camber Plates are designed to address this limitation. They work directly with the OEM shock and spring assembly as a bolt-on upgrade, providing adjustable front camber along with a fixed increase in caster.
Whilst developing the M4 GT4 chassis, Suspension Secrets discovered that the right combination of increased camber and caster at the front axle was key to getting the G80 M3/G82 M4 chassis to perform at its best. This blend of geometry helps generate significantly more front-end grip while reducing understeer.
These camber plates feature a fixed caster offset machined directly into their design, allowing you to benefit from this carefully developed geometry. The result is more direct steering feedback, improved front-end feel, and greater confidence when pushing the car on the road or track.
The available camber adjustment range allows for setups suited to fast road driving, occasional track use, and dedicated track use. This makes it easy to change camber settings depending on how the vehicle is being used.
Manufactured from billet aircraft-grade aluminium, the camber plates feature anti-slip adjustment slots designed to prevent the selected camber setting from slipping or changing under demanding conditions, whether running over kerbs on track or encountering rough road surfaces.
In addition to adjustable camber, the plates incorporate a fixed increase in caster. The caster offset is derived from G82 M4 GT4 development and is machined into the plate to simplify setup, eliminating the need for separate caster adjustment or caster gauges.
One of the biggest criticisms of the G8X chassis is its lack of steering feel and feedback. The additional camber and caster provided by these plates help address this by increasing front-end grip and improving feedback through the steering wheel. The result is reduced mid-corner understeer, sharper turn-in, and a more confidence-inspiring front axle for both road and track use.
Suspension Secrets uses large motorsport-spec Rodoball bearings specifically selected for these camber plates. The design helps keep noise to a minimum while preventing unwanted bearing knock. This allows drivers to benefit from the improved damper response, precision, and feedback of a spherical bearing while maintaining road-friendly refinement.

Compatibility Note
These camber plates are not designed for 60mm ID spring coilover kits. They are compatible with coilover systems designed to utilize the OEM top mounts.

Geometry Explained
Camber
Camber angle is the angle between the plane of a wheel and the vertical. It is described as positive when the top of the wheel leans outward and negative when the top of the wheel leans inward. Camber angle alters the handling characteristics of a suspension system.
Caster
Caster is the measure of how far forward or behind the steering axis is to the vertical axis, viewed from the side. This is measured by drawing a line between the top and bottom pivot points of the front upright. The angle between the drawn line and vertical is the caster angle
